Changes to our internal start page

In the coming weeks we will be releasing a few changes to the pages you first see after logging in to Business IT Online.  We want to give you some prior warning so that this doesn't come as an unwelcome surprise.

 

The purpose of the 'internal home pages' is twofold:

1. We want new users to be able to quickly and easily learn how to use the system, and...
2. We want existing users to be able to quickly navigate to the area of the system needed.

So we have divided the start page into two tabbed pages, "Getting started" and "Launch pad".  New users will see the former and established users the latter.  You can set the launch pad as your landing page preference.  We believe you will find this update to be a great improvement.

Getting started

This section provides a simple and intuitive way of quickly learning about the system.  You can indicate what you have signed up for (e.g. sales management tools, invoicing etc.) and we provide you with the resources you need to get started.

There are video tutorials, step-by-step introductory guides as well as plenty of ways of getting in touch with us should you have any questions to be answered.  You can even dive straight into a module if you don't need help and just want to have a play around.

Launch pad

The launch pad provides links to all the main areas of the system from one place.  Currently, you have to enter a module by clicking on its icon and then navigate to the section you want.  From the launch pad, you will be able to click on one link and go directly to a specific section within the module you want.

 

We've been working very hard to make the system as easy to use as possible.  Please keep your feedback coming in and keep an eye out for this new release when it is released.
